As we approach Christmas, many people will have sent parcels and post through CTT in Portugal and many more will be expecting deliveries.
To offer customer support at this particularly busy time of yeat, CTT has launched a new support service for clients through WhatsApp.
A statement form CTT said: “In order to simplify communication processes and in order to reinforce our position in terms of innovation and proximity to our customers, CTT informs that CTT's Customer Support is also already available on Whatsapp. In this way, all customers can experience a more personalised service through a private message.
“Our Customer Support channels are available every weekday from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm”.
Customer support on WhatsApp “does not intend to replace existing ones, but rather complements our offer”, explains the company. Access is via the CTT website, or via the number +351 914 102 787.
Fire the lot of them and rebuild a decent reliable honest postal service from scratch.

More smoke and mirrors. The postal service in Portugal simply does NOT work. This service is merely cheap advertising for a company which fails in every way.

The state finances put pressure on the post office by sending out fines with no reason what the fines are for, the 2-3 days later send out another letter telling you what the fine is for, why can't they say in the first letter instead of wasting tax payers money on double postage, wasting paper, and bad for the environment on deliverys

Customer support on WhatsApp “does not intend to replace existing ones, but rather complements our offer”, thus making the existing service even more useless!

One thing I can not stand is "expats" complaining about services they feel entitled to have "their" way. I have used CTT for 9 months now without a hitch. I suggest people reconsider why they moved to Portugal if they think "their" way is better. I rarely read this newspaper anymore because of all the negative comments.

I had a package that was held up at Lisboa customs. After filling in relevant forms and paying for delivery there was still no sign of progress after two weeks. I emailed CTT and requested their assistance. They were great!! Within four days my package was cleared and delivered. Thank you CTT.

This has made me feel ill.....these s.o.b's ripped me off for 50 bucks which I couldn't afford.....when the revolution comes.......

Wow, Kay, a whole nine months. Funny, nine months is about how long I've been waiting for six packages, all sent separately from separate countries, and all tracked to Portugal. I'd suggest you stick around this country longer. I can almost guarantee you that won't be singing a Pollyanna tune about this place then. By the way, it's not doing it "our way" that most ex-pats moan about, it's about doing it the objectively correct, non-corrupt way. Anyhow, enjoy the rest of your honeymoon phase, and I hope Santa brings you a renewal on the subscription for those rose-tinted glasses. And, no, not an ex-pat here. I'm Portuguese.
