According to the PSP Lisbon Metropolitan Command: “The suspect was inside the plane and had already been handcuffed by the crew, after having disrespected the instructions of the crew, namely to remain seated and to not interact aggressively with other passengers, or commit acts of violence against passenger on board. This behaviour put the safety of the flight, its crew and other passengers at risk”, describes the note.

According to the police, the man “had a strong odour of alcohol when he boarded the plane” and continued to drink alcoholic beverages during the flight.
