“The Tax and Customs Authority (AT) is aware that some
taxpayers are receiving emails supposedly from the AT, with an attachment to
allegedly proceed with the regularisation of the tax situation”, reads the
alert published in the Finance Portal.
An example of the body of the messages with which the
taxpayer is "confronted" may be the "sending of the declaration
and tax execution process for the collection of tax debts" and to which it
is recommended to proceed with the tax regularisation following a link that is
provided and which, the tax authorities warn, is fraudulent.
“These messages are false and should be ignored. Its
objective is to convince the recipient to download malicious software",
warns the AT, stressing that "in no case" should the taxpayer "carry
out this operation".
The Tax Authorities recommend reading the information sheet
on Computer Security available on the Finance Portal.
