Earlier, Kuleba met with his Portuguese counterpart, João Gomes Cravinho, who had asked Portugal to participate in an international coalition for training pilots and supplying modern fighter jets, as well as support for Kiev's accession to NATO.
“I invited Portugal to join the combat fighter coalition, starting to train Ukrainian pilots”, said Kuleba at a press conference, which the Portuguese counterpart then recorded, but did not comment.
The leader of Kiev's diplomacy noted that support for his country began to evolve more quickly than in previous months and the time has come for it to be strengthened, with "the first step being pilot training".
