About 90 municipalities in the districts of Faro, Beja, Santarém, Leiria, Coimbra, Viseu, Portalegre, Castelo Branco, Guarda, Bragança and Vila Real are at maximum danger of fire.
The IPMA also put in high danger of fire dozens of other municipalities in the districts of Viana do Castelo, Vila Real, Porto, Aveiro, Viseu, Coimbra, Leiria, Lisbon, Setúbal, Évora, Portalegre, Beja and Faro.
The fire risk determined by IPMA has five levels, ranging from reduced to maximum and the calculations are obtained from the air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and amount of precipitation in the last 24 hours.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 4,992 occurrences of fire have affected more than 10,500 hectares of rural areas.
The IPMA predicts today in the continent a small increase in the maximum temperature, more significant in the Central region, and a small decrease in the minimum temperature, especially in the interior. There is also a possibility of light rain or drizzle in Minho and Douro Litoral.
The minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 13º Celsius (Bragança, Coimbra and Leiria) and 20ºC (Faro and Portalegre) and the maximum between 25ºC (Aveiro) and 36ºC (Castelo Branco, Évora and Beja).
