Diesel will drop by two cents and gasoline by 1.5 cents, according to Notícias ao Minuto.

Since the end of August, both have fallen by more than 25 cents.

These forecasts come at a time when simple diesel is at €1.572/litre, while simple petrol 95 is at €1.639/litre, according to the average prices published by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).

These average prices, it should be noted, "are calculated based on the prices communicated by fuel stations, weighted with the quantities sold in the last known period, incorporating discounts offered at gas stations such as fleet cards and others".
