According to Deco's weekly analysis, between January 1st and 8th, there was a difference of 2.97 euros in the price of the basket, a value that increased to 5.53 euros since the last week of 2024.
Compared to the last week in which this consumer protection platform had communicated the price of the essential basket, on November 27, the price of the 63 products increased by 6.10 euros.
Salmon is the product with the greatest variation in the last week, with an increase of 2.45 euros (19%), costing 15.49 euros on Thursday, followed by tomato pulp (14% or 0.18 euros, costing 1.45 euros) and packaged sliced Flemish cheese (11% or 0.26 euros, costing 2.72 euros).
The products with the greatest variation between January 10, 2024, and Wednesday are sea bream (23% or 1.67 euros, costing 8.79 euros), veal for cooking (21% or 1.79 euros, costing 10, 50 euros), and turkey leg (17% or 0.80 euros, costing 5.52 euros).
The basket includes products such as meat, frozen foods, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, groceries and fish, including, among others, products such as turkey, chicken, mackerel, hake, onion, potato, carrot, banana, apple, orange, rice, spaghetti, sugar, ham, milk, cheese or butter.
