This is the first time that the air carrier “records positive results in the first six months of a year, since the half-yearly results were published (2019)”, highlights TAP in a statement.

In the first six months of this year, TAP's net result represents “an improvement of 225 million euros”, compared to the same half of last year, according to the note released.

In addition, it refers that the positive net result, of 22.9 million euros, achieved in the first half of this year, represents an increase of 134.9 million euros in relation to 2019, the post-pandemic period of covid-19.

TAP considers that the good result is based on the “strong growth in operating revenues”, which amounted to 1.9 billion euros, with a “relevant increase” of 600 million euros (+44.3%) compared to the same period 2022.

“This growth is revealing of the balanced approach adopted by TAP in capitalizing on market opportunities”, explains the Portuguese air carrier.
