The municipality will also raise the LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex) flag on a flagpole placed in the square in front of the building, as happened last year, said Rui Moreira.

The mayor also said that he had authorised the LGBTI+ Pride marches to take place in Largo Amor de Perdição, in the city center, and in the Parque da Pasteleira gardens.

The Porto LGBTI+ Pride March is a celebration and fight for equality for the LGBTI community, held in Porto since 2006.
