TAP clarified to Lusa that the Airbus A320 belongs to the Portuguese company and that there was a case of fumes, which could affect the aircraft, especially the cockpits.
TAP corrects that it was not due to fire or smoke in the cabin, as had initially been reported to Lusa by Civil Protection.
The alert for the occurrence was given on Wednesday at 8:58 pm.
According to Civil Protection, firefighters from Gondomar, Leça do Balio, São Mamede and Infesta, Moreira da Maia, Portuenses, Vila do Conde, Paredes, Ermesinde, Matosinhos-Leça, Pedrouços and Leixões were deployed to the site, making a total of 10 vehicles and 31 operatives.
