Salary cuts
Regarding the company agreements signed with the unions, which put an end to the cuts applied within the scope of the emergency agreements, the president of TAP guaranteed that in December salary cuts would no longer be applied since the new agreements were approved by the shareholder, which is the State.
"The world has changed a lot, beyond what was predicted in 2020, we grew at an impressive rate, we are in a good condition, [so] it didn't make sense to continue with these salary cuts", he defended.
Regarding the renegotiation of contracts with Airbus, after suspicions that TAP was paying more for the 'leasing' than its counterparts, Luís Rodrigues explained that the topic is "under permanent negotiation" and that TAP and the aircraft manufacturer will meet. "But it's going well", he highlighted.
